It looks easy at first,
but any wrong move can be last for that camera
Wires are fragile, dropping little screws inside is a nightmare.
Too much pressure, or wrong placement of the prism will stop/destroy your light meter needle(located under the prism)
Steady hands, good eyes and the right tools are key.
I have probably assembled and disassembled it up to 10 times.
Many mistakes have been made, and it was finally done and working.
Testing it out now
Most of the repair shops here in Singapore won't even look at it,(except one)assuming the worst (that it cannot be fixed)(cable jammed)
So you need to figure out everything yourself

DRLens fungus is a photographer's worst nightmare, but it doesn't mean your gear is dead. 🛑📸
Full disclaimer: I am not a professionally trained lens technician! I just rely on a set of precision tools, Google, and YouTube. But here is why I do this myself: I once paid a repair shop RM 300 (~$65 USD) to clean a different lens. They warned me that cleaning the innermost glass could cause image softening, so I opted out of that part. To make matters worse, they completely botched the autofocus reassembly, and I had to wait another full week just for them to fix their own mistake!
So, instead of dealing with that headache again, I cracked this Tamron lens open to clean the front element manually.
💡 Pro Tip: After thoroughly cleaning the glass, I applied a fresh ring of silicone sealant around the edge before reassembling. This creates a brand new weather-seal to prevent moisture from getting back in and causing the fungus to return!
