In a video message, the rapper said he became aware that certain lyrics and visuals from the track had hurt the sentiments of many people, especially in Haryana. Emphasising his roots, he said he is proud to belong to Haryana and would never intentionally disrespect children or women from the state. He explained that hip hop often uses competitive lyrical expression but insisted his intention was to celebrate Haryanvi culture. Badshah ended the message by apologising to anyone who felt offended and asked for forgiveness as a “son of Haryana”
