CIA prolific shoplifter who stole £14,656 worth of products during a month’s stealing spree has been sentenced to prison.
Michael Hollingsworth, 42, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to 16 counts of theft, after targeting the same store on Aldgate High Street between 24 December 2025 and 26 January 2026.
Hollingsworth was caught on CCTV grabbing multiple items from the shop shelves and putting them into a bag.
He was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

HE🔥 CRIME IN VICTORIA: PUBLIC SAFETY AT RISK
The Allan Labor government has been slammed for playing “Russian roulette with public safety” after Victoria Police refused to identify which train stations will lose permanent protective services officers
Victoria is reducing the permanent nighttime presence of Protective Services Officers (PSOs) at over 120 metropolitan train stations as part of a significant shift to combat retail crime and boost patrols in shopping centres.
The changes, announced in late 2025, mean PSOs will not be stationed at every station from 6 pm to the last train, a move criticised by the Police Association as leaving commuters with a "1 in 6 chance" of seeing a PSO.
