Toronto ✨ Last week I had the absolute dream of finally touring Deciem HQ and the labs! It was so inspiring, and you could really feel Brandon everywhere. From the little touches in the lab to the ‘Incubator’ (where they’re nurturing so many of his brilliant ideas that haven’t yet come to life). It was honestly magic. And I loved meeting @dakotakisaacs who has serious Brandon energy and lots of exciting secrets! 🫶 I was sad I never got to go there with Brandon, but being there made me feel so close. His spirit was absolutely alive and kicking in Toronto. Half of me wanted to use a sad song for this reel, but I thought something upbeat and energetic felt much more Brandon! 💫 I also had a sneak peek at some top secret new launches (lab samples in my bag. Eek!!). The only one I can tell you about is brand new The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum, which is launching very soon. My review is linked in bio & stories. The rest… you’ll just have to stay tuned for. 👀 And if you, like me, adored Brandon too, I’ve popped a link in my bio and stories to the blog post I wrote in tribute to him when he passed away. ❌RATING POPULAR THE ORDINARY PRODUCTS✅ Do you agree with me? Or is there something else you got to say? 😂 let me know!! (How do you feel about the 10% niacin and the peeling solution?🤢) - I generally don’t like niacinamide serums stronger than 5% as it irritates my skin and causes me to breakout! This is not to say that they are not right for you. It’s just my preference. Either way studies show that even only 5% is gonna give you amazing results so there’s no need to go any higher. One that I surprisingly love is the @naturiumskin niacinamide 12% which is also moisturizing which goes to show that some high concentration ones out there are indeed good! - the peeling solution is just horrifying. The idea of mixing acids together is cute but the outcome was just a super strong peel that if not used correctly can really damage the skin (happened to me when I didn’t know what I was doing) - HA is a plumper, quite cute formulated in products but quite useless on its own! HA serums if not used with a moisturizer are gonna actually worsten your skin and make it drier! If you want to really moisturize your skin look for ingredients like glycerin, amino acids and ceramides. - the granactive retinol is great for people who are starting out as it’s a retinol ester (weaker but less irritating) mixing in with a conditioning agent! I personally prefer the retinol line out of the two but there are way better retinols out there imo #acne #acnetreatment #acnepositivity #acnescars #acneskincare #acneproblems #acneproneskin #skincare #skincareroutine #skincareproducts #skincareroutines #skincaretips #acnefree #acnetips #oilyskin #pores #skincareblog #skinsta #skincareaddiction #skincarejunkie #skincareblogger #skingoals #skincare101 #instaskin #skintips #skinstagram #theordinary #deciem
