19We are only here a short while. When things are tough, we tend to be grateful for that fact. When things are good, we want as much as we can stomach. But the fact remains, none of us are promised forever here.
What can you do, can we all do, to fill our coffers with good memories, to fill our days with life? Is it kindness? Is it being off the phone? I don’t hold the answer haha, for each of us I think it’s different.
But it should be our aim: to live as much as we can regardless of whether or not tomorrow comes. Before I go to sleep… I try to ask: “would I be happy with how I spent today, if I knew tomorrow wouldn’t come?” Seems dramatic, but life is not a passive thing.
Fill every moment to the brim with what you enjoy, with kindness towards strangers, with presence.
