RM50K sitting in EPF for 20 years growing at ~6% annually gets you to RM150K
RM50K deployed into the right franchise with the right location, right system, right support can return RM150K in 3-5years or less + potential exit upside.
i’m not saying abandon EPF
i’m saying EPF alone is not a retirement plan anymore not with the cost of living we’re looking at today the people quietly building wealth right now?
they’re not choosing one or the other they’re doing both — protecting the floor with EPF and building the ceiling with alternative investments, the math doesn’t lie but nobody taught us to read it.
