I’ve put together a list of over 300 sight words (Fry and high-frequency) up to 3rd grade—perfect for building a strong foundation. Pair them with flashcards that use each word in a sentence to make reading smoother and more natural. Comment “NEW” to get a link to the list as well as flashcards. Let’s help kids read with confidence, one word at a time! With help of phonics skills, you can teach your little one to decode words into recognizable sounds. For instance, If your child knows only letter and short vowel sounds, then he/she can decode 46 or 14% words. By adding digraphs to the list, a total of 75 words or 23% words can be decoded.
