GRViewing environmentalism as a “movement” has never sat right with us. When we call it a movement, it implies there are boxes you must check before you’re allowed to be an environmentalist. Doing so limits our creativity, solutions, and perspectives. Everyone is an environmentalist. It’s not our job to write the rules but to remind people of that intrinsic fact.

There is no safe climate on a planet at war, and there is no lasting peace on a planet run by fossil fuels.
When we say we stand for a green and peaceful future, that means standing with people whose lives and lands are destroyed by bombs and oil wells alike, exposing how fossil fuels and militarisation feed each other, and demanding a different path based on human rights, climate justice and real peace.

🛍️WHAT IS OVERCONSUMPTION?🛍️
Overconsumption is basically buying more than you actually need, more than you can realistically use, and more than the planet can keep up with. It’s pushed by haul culture, constant restocks, and trends that make it feel normal to always want something new.
And no, this isn’t harmless. Every unnecessary purchase still requires resources, labor, packaging, and shipping, and most of it eventually turns into waste. That adds up to pollution and environmental damage that doesn’t just disappear once the video is over.
BUT IT’S MY MONEY AND I CAN DO WHAT I WANT🫠…
People love to say “it’s their money, they can spend it however they want,” but that argument skips over the bigger picture. Consumption doesn’t happen in a vacuum. What we buy keeps harmful systems running, and the environmental consequences end up affecting all of us, not just the person who bought the item.
