"I did this mistake many times" is one of the most common errors at intermediate level. It sounds almost right. That's exactly why it keeps happening. The difference between past simple and present perfect isn't just grammar. It changes what your sentence actually means. Past simple: finished, over, no connection to now. Present perfect: still relevant, still connected to today. "I did this mistake" cuts the connection. "I have made this mistake" keeps it. If the mistake is something you still do, or something that still matters, use the present perfect. Write a sentence with "I have" in the comments. Connect it to right now. 👇
