I’ll say it: St. Louis is probably one of the most underrated cities in the Midwest. Most people come for the Arch, but the soul of the city is in the neighborhoods. If you’re planning a weekend here, make sure to add these to the itinerary: 📍 The City Museum: It’s not a "museum". It’s a 10-story playground made of repurposed industrial objects. Even as an adult, crawling through the caves will definitely become a core memory. 📍 Lafayette Square: Take a walk through these "Painted Ladies" (the colorful Victorian homes) and it'll feel like you’ve been transported to London or San Francisco. 📍 The Jewel Box in Forest Park: A 1930s Art Deco glass greenhouse that looks like a fairytale. It’s the perfect vibe for an early morning run. What’s your favorite "hidden gem" in your own city? I’m looking for new spots to add to my 2026 travel list! 👇🏾
