As we see the capitalists continually drive us toward increasing crises and war, it only becomes more clear we need to get rid of this system. In that process, we will have to “socialize” private property. What do we mean by this phrase? Here’s a hint, it’s not what scumbags like Musk or Bezos or any other capitalists want you to think.

Social isolation in cult psychology rarely looks like a compound. It looks like a slow narrowing of the social world until everyone outside the movement is an enemy or a lost cause. Robert Lifton called it milieu control. It's one of the primary barriers to leaving. When you convince a population that they are victims, you lower their sense of agency. And when agency is low, dependency becomes easier to accept. Think about that for a second. I’m going to be speaking more openly about this in the near future. But today, I just want you to sit with it.

Most of what we call “bad public behavior” isn’t random - it’s patterned. What you’re noticing in everyday moments is actually a classic case of the scarcity mindset meeting institutional distrust. In economics, when people believe resources are uncertain or systems are unreliable, they stop cooperating and start optimizing for themselves even in situations where cooperation would benefit everyone. This connects closely to the idea of the “tragedy of the commons" - a concept popularized by Garrett Hardin. When individuals act in their own short-term interest, assuming others will do the same, shared systems begin to collapse, not because they were weak to begin with, but because trust was never strong enough to sustain them. It’s also tied to game theory, especially the "Prisoner’s Dilemma" where rational individuals, acting in self-interest, end up creating worse outcomes for everyone involved. So what looks like impatience, opportunism, or lack of civic sense… is often something deeper: A learned response to uncertainty. A quiet expectation that fairness won’t be enforced. And a belief that if you don’t secure your share early , you might lose it entirely. And that belief, more than anything else, reshapes how societies function. I know we all need to make a living, there’s nothing wrong with that. But if we’re monetizing a solution to a system of oppression, to a point that it becomes out of reach for most, then we become the very thing we’re fighting against.
