Loosen Tight Hips to Walk Easier! Tight hips are one of the biggest reasons walking starts to feel stiff or restricted with age-but they’re rarely addressed in most routines. Try these 3 hip-release moves to walk smoother and feel looser today: 1️⃣ Standing Hip CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations): 5 each direction per leg. Benefit: Improves joint mobility, control and range of motion. 2️⃣ Standing Hip Swings: 10 forward-back + 10 side-to-side per leg. Benefit: Improves dynamic hip mobility, loosens tight joints and mimics natural walking patterns. 3️⃣ Standing Figure-4 Stretch: Hold 20 seconds per leg. Benefit: Gently stretches deep hip muscles (piriformis, glutes). These are simple, effective and easy to do with just a wall or counter. Do this routine a few times a week to move more freely and reduce stiffness. ⚠️ For general fitness education only. Always check with your doctor first, move at your own pace and listen to your body.
