HEI’m 28 years old, and while sitting at the airport waiting to catch my flight home from vacation… I got laid off from my job.
Just like that, everything changed.
I’m honestly embarrassed to admit it:
• I still haven’t told most of my friends. Sometimes I even pretend I still have a job because saying it out loud makes it feel too real.
• I keep replaying everything in my mind, wondering if I did something wrong… or if there was something I could’ve done differently.
• Some mornings I wake up feeling determined, telling myself I’ll figure things out. Other mornings I wake up feeling completely lost.
• I cry almost every night, praying that somehow I’ll find a way out of this place that feels so heavy and miserable right now.
• I know a lot of people are going through this too, but somehow it still feels incredibly lonely.
• Every day I’m trying to remind myself that losing a job doesn’t mean losing my worth… even on the days it’s hard to believe it.
So I did something a little scary.
I created this account with no friends, no followers, no expectations… just a place to start over.
A place to be honest about where I am, document the journey, and hopefully rebuild something from the ground up.
Maybe this isn’t the end of my story.
Maybe this is just the chapter where everything falls apart before something better begins.
For now, I’m just taking it one day at a time… holding on to faith and hoping that one day I’ll look back at this moment and realize it was the beginning of something greater.
