I workout from home with dumbbells that range from 4kg to 12.5kg. I do 4-5 strength training workouts every week that are 30 mins long. I also do 1-2 stretch/mobility workouts each week. I eat three meals a day (some days I will add in a protein shake if I’m really hungry). I follow the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time my diet is full of whole grains, fruit, vegetables, protein and good fats. 20% of the time I drink wine and eat the chocolate cake. Pretty much most of our food is cooked from scratch at home. If I notice things are slipping to more 70/30 (a bit too much wine and maybe more snacking has crept in). I make sure i get back to my 80/20 rule. Exercise is very important but being consistent with your diet is even more so 🌟 Consistency and balance is the key! Ive been a personal trainer for 17 years and used to push my body to the max with long gruelling workouts. The older (and wiser) I’ve got, I understand that intense workouts aren’t beneficial for my body and the importance of slowing things down focusing on keeping muscle mass through weight training. I want to share all my experience and knowledge with you. If you love running, then run, do what you enjoy ☺️ but realising the importance of keeping muscle mass which we do with weight training should be high up on the priority list. 💡 Warum viele trotz Training Bauchfett haben •Die echten Gründe sind meistens: zu viele Kalorien •zu wenig Bewegung im Alltag •Alkohol •zu wenig Geduld •kein Krafttraining •Muskelmasse fehlt 🧠 Die ehrliche Realität (einfach erklärt) Fettverlust = Kaloriendefizit + Krafttraining + genug Protein Nicht komplizierter. „Training ist nicht der größte Hebel“ Ernährung ist wichtiger für Fettverlust, aber Training ist extrem wichtig für: -Muskelerhalt -Körperform -Gesundheit -langfristigen Erfolg Du kannst 5x pro Woche trainieren – und trotzdem fett bleiben. Hart trainieren ist nicht das Problem. Ohne Kaloriendefizit verändert sich dein Körper nicht. Training verbrennt Kalorien. Ernährung entscheidet, ob du Fett verlierst. Du kannst schwitzen. Du kannst leiden. Du kannst alles geben. Wenn die Kalorien zu hoch sind, bleibt das Bauchfett. Die Lösung ist nicht mehr Cardio. Do every of these exercises for 1 minute - for 2 rounds, 3 times a week 1. Squats side to side (inhale squat, exhale as you come up and squeeze your glutes)
2. Ninja squats (keep your booty low!) 
3. Lunge twists (knee on the mat is fine)
 These 3 compound movements are great for busy women going through menopause. 

Why? 
👍 Compound movements use multiple muscle groups at the same time, so you get more bang for your buck. 

During menopause we experience loss of muscle mass and bone density due to estrogen dropping. 👍Strength training (even with body weight) can counter these symptoms, as well as help with 👍increasing your metabolism and burn more calories 👍release endorphins (happy hormones) and 👍improve your flexibility.
