It actually drives me up a wall and takes everything in me not to comment when I see nutritionists still telling athletes to fuel like this, because it’s the type of advice that held me back for YEARS. Chocolate milk = sugar water with dairy Inflammatory additives, poor protein quality, digestive nightmare and loaded with sugar…need I say more😅 And please don’t listen to the processed carbs for quick energy BS unless you want metabolic dysfunction, inflammation, injuries and nutrient deficiencies. I never realised quite HOW much I needed to eat to fuel what I was asking of my body 💪🏼 Even if I felt like I wasn’t doing that much, my body needed way more than I realised! Not only do we need to eat to fuel daily life, but we have to fuel the demand of training too, and that requires A LOT of goodness! 🥳 Remember that especially over Christmas!
