This isn’t your typical cosplay prop or theme park mascot. Nosey has been described as fireproof, waterproof, bulletproof, and even capable of running up to 32 mph. It can crawl, crouch, and walk silently on padded feet—straight out of a horror game. If Freddy Fazbear or Bonnie from FNaF escaped the pizzeria and came into the real world, this is exactly what it would look like.
The project has gone viral not only because of its insane scale, but also because of the creepy nostalgia it taps into. For decades, animatronics have fascinated (and terrified) us—from the robotic band at Chuck E.
