RUWant to make your first 20,000 as a freelancer?
You don’t need many clients.
You don’t need to work day and night.
Even a few small projects can help you reach this amount.
Here’s a simple step-by-step way beginners can do it:
Step 1 — Choose one skill
Content writing, video editing, Canva post design, SEO, script writing, social media management… anything.
Step 2 — Create a small portfolio
Show 3–5 sample works so clients can trust your work.
Step 3 — Reach out to business owners
You can find them on Instagram, Facebook pages, or LinkedIn.
Step 4 — Start closing small projects
Example beginner prices:
Video editing (per reel) — around 500
Script writing / blog writing — 500 to 700
Poster design — 300 to 500
Now let’s calculate:
10 reel edits × 500 = 5000
10 scripts × 600 = 6000
20 poster designs × 400 = 8000
Total = 19,000 to 20,000
And sometimes even one big project itself can reach 20,000.
This works in any freelancing field.
Many beginners struggle not because they lack skills…
