Christians hear the word “frequency” and immediately think “new age”—and hey, I don’t blame you. We are very anti-new age. But the word “frequency” in this context just means the speed at which the sound wave is oscillating—the pattern of it going up and down. Every musical note is tuned to a specific frequency, or pitch. We measure it in Hertz, or Hz.
The new age crew has adopted this term and often uses it to speak about “energies” (often code for demons), and other things. But all music is made up of frequencies. 🎶
Actually, frequencies are all around us all the time. Wifi operates on a frequency (often 2.4 gigahertz), your phone signal is using 4G or 5G frequencies, radio stations all send their sound waves out over frequencies, the sun emits frequencies, and even the earth beneath our feet. We even see colors because they reflect different frequencies or wavelengths of light. 💡
So, frequencies are actually a huge topic that can be helpful or harmful to our bodies. Red light therapy, which has become so viral, is said to be helpful frequencies of light. But did you know there are even weapons that use frequencies in a harmful way? 🤯
When God began to lead us to retune our music to 444 Hz instead of the standard 440, it took us a while to grasp the magnitude of it. But we figured, maybe this is more aligned with His creation and our bodies. All our molecules are vibrating, after all, and music doesn’t just reach our ears—it passes through all our cells (which are mostly water!)💧
Maybe God would have us combat some of the harmful waves we’re bombarded with, with healing sound waves. Some people call 444 Hz the key of David. Could it have helped drive the evil spirits out of Saul?
