This was a normal walk in the city. Alice was asleep in her pram, everything seemed fine. We were reassured by doctors, and I trusted them. I didn’t know she was struggling — I really didn’t know. Looking back now, every sound, every breath mattered more than I ever realized. She died while we thought she was safe. We’d never do it again. I share this not to shock, but so parents understand how fragile life can be, how quickly it can change, and why listening to your instincts matters. Alice was my daughter. She existed. She mattered. And she will always be remembered #RememberingAlice #InfantLoss #HeartTransplantAwareness #GrievingMother #ParentingTruths #fblifestyle #MedicalReassurance #ITrustedThem #GoneTooSoon #LifeFragile #MotherhoodReality

Thank you to wonderful @schlannerz - Annie Rambeau for turning my poem which was an homage to James Baldwin’s line, “Every Bombed Village is My Hometown” into a gorgeous song of resistance being sung in Minneapolis. ❤️ Big love to the people of Minnesota and to @singingresistancetc and @anniep_mpls The poem: “Every bombed village is my hometown” - James Baldwin And every dead child is my child. Every grieving mother is my mother. Every crying father is my father. Every home turned to rubble is the home I grew up in. Every brother carrying the remains of his brother across borders is my brother. Every sister waiting for a sister who will never come home is my sister. Every one of these people are ours, Just like we are theirs. We belong to them and they belong to us.

A grieving mother who found herself struggling to stay afloat financially after the unexpected death of her disabled son has urged the government to change its policy of removing certain benefits on the day of a child’s death. Claire Reece said that financial support she had been receiving for 15 years was withdrawn within days of losing her son Hugo last year. An error made by the Department of Work and Pensions meant that Ms Reece’s difficulties were compounded when they also stopped some of her Universal Credit payments, leaving her without 60% of her usual income. A spokesperson for the Department for Work and Pensions did not comment on the campaign, but apologised for the error in Ms Reece’s payments.

I posted this 24 second reel just over a month ago. Since then it has went viral with thousands of comments. A lot of the comments are in support and defending me a grieving mother who lost my 8 year old son... But there are many comments being absolutely evil towards me.... over 24 seconds of my life trying to show how my middle, 5 year old, child is handling the loss of his brother, his best friend. Some comments were telling me to put my 1.5 year old in his crib to cry to sleep so I could tend to my crying 5 year old... meanwhile, im trying to figure out where my 5 year old was crying in the video. Others told me to put my baby in the crib and watch him through the baby monitor all while mocking me for being a bad parent for watching my 5 year old through our camera to make sure he is safe. Some told me to let my baby play inside by himself so I could go outside with my middle son. So many had all the answers. Meanwhile not understanding that 6 months prior we had a housefire and our oldest child died. My middle spent 36 days in the PICU burn unit, we had no home and zero belongings. 4 months prior we finally moved into our house with ZERO furniture besides mattresses. I was dealing with a funeral home that backed out because they "were made aware we had a gofundme to pay for everything" A flower shop that held onto my 8 year old sons flowers for 10.5 months WITHOUT knowing she canceled my order and never told me to come pick them up. Harvey had 3 physical therapy, 3 occupational, 1 counseling, 1 homebound school services appointments per week! Plus I had counseling and 3 physical therapy appointments per week myself. We had to travel for consultation appointments for Harveys skin multiple times per month. I had to deal with insurance phone calls and try to get his services covered. Ive had to file for financial aid to cover excess appointments. Ive had to file for mileage and meal reimbursements. And I did all of this ALONE because the night we moved in everyone vanished with help. I had to make all of these decisions alone. And I was struggling to keep going let alone survive. And on top of it everyone had an opinion about me...

Big Dairy spends millions on sunshine-yellow labels to hide one industrial truth: every dairy cow is a grieving mother. 🐄 Whether the label says free range, organic, or Red Tractor, the calves get taken from their mothers. That’s not a mistake. It’s the business model. It’s industrial, it’s heartless, and it’s time to drag it into the light. #EndFactoryfarming #DontBuyIt #BigDairy #ProjectSlingshot
