If you can do these five things, you can handstand walk! 1️⃣ Handstand hold with legs bent at 90: This will get you comfortable with a leg bend, which is a great way to create forward momentum in your handstand walks 2️⃣ Handstand leg alternations: This drill will help you learn to balance with your fingerstips and wrists by giving you micro moments of handstand holding 3️⃣ Weight shifts with legs bent at 90: This will help you practice shifting your weight from side to side and supporting your body weight with one arm 4️⃣ Handstand + leg bend to wall: This trains the first moments of a handstand walk and allows you to practice kicking up, establishing control, then bending the legs 5️⃣ Handstand walk to wall: Now take a step back, kick up, bend your legs, then move your hands. Start fairly close to the wall, then back up as you feel confident and comfortable Everyone will advance through these steps at a different rate, but if you master these steps in this order, you will be able to walk on your hands! <3 Coach Stef

If your goal is to handstand walk, then you need to start incorporating these exercises.     Technique is one thing, a lot of practice is another, but without the strength to shift your body weight from side to side and be able to support yourself with one arm only, you won’t get very far. So start with the Box L-Handstand Hold and work your way up, ensuring your hands are stacked underneath your hips. One of the scariest parts about handstand walking is the waiting to “fall” forwards - but that’s exactly what needs to happen to get moving - you need to let your feet go FIRST! Try walking off a box - this puts the movement under slightly more control and you don’t have to worry about over kicking. Start close to the wall, get comfortable with the weight shift, then as you gain confidence move the box further and further away from the wall. Once you gain the confidence you’ll be kicking up and walking anywhere no problem! Share and keep following for more!
