Train smarter better than harder. You don’t need more workouts—you need better ones. Progressive overload, enough protein to rebuild muscle, water to perform, and rest to recover. Train with intention and let consistency do the heavy lifting. Video credit gymshorts.0 tik tok

This is what actually happens when you lift heavy but never sprint You get stronger. You don’t get faster. Heavy lifting can: • Increase force potential • Build muscle • Improve durability But without sprinting: – Your start doesn’t improve – Your mechanics don’t sharpen – Your nervous system never learns speed – Your 40 stays the same Strength supports speed. It doesn’t replace it. If your program is all weight room and no field work, you’re leaving speed on the table. The fastest athletes do both — in the right order and the right doses. If you’re strong but your 40 hasn’t moved, the fix isn’t more plates. It’s smarter sprint work. Want the EXACT training plan I’m currently running to get FASTER this offseason as a D1 football player? COMMENT “D1” and I’ll drop it in your DMs🤝

Starting your powerlifting journey doesn’t require you to be “strong enough”. You deserve to have some fun, lift heavy, and compete just as much as anyone else. Stop waiting for “the right moment” and “when i’m strong enough”, because they won’t happen. Heavy lifting in general is hard, but it can become one of the rewarding and fun ways to train alongside your physique and fat loss goals. - Follow me to learn how to lose fat and develop your strength at the same time! @movementmitch 1:1 Coaching? Maddie Levi lifts heavy, squatting well over 2x bodyweight! You might ask, why would one of the fastest players in a sport where speed is king be spending time under a barbell? 🏉 Doesn’t heavy lifting make you slow? It’s one of the most common myths in women’s sport. Every female athlete needs to understand this... Heavy lifting can massively benefit your speed and power. Think about every time you accelerate, off a ruck, out of a defensive line, chasing a kick. You need to quickly overcome inertia. This requires the production of more total horizontal impulse. That takes a massive amount of force production in a very short window. The stronger you are, the more force you can apply to the ground, which increases the impulse that drives you forward. Being able to produce a lot of force in a short amount of time is central to acceleration. Strength training is one of the best ways to increase your Neural Drive…how effectively your nervous system can recruit muscle to produce force. The greater your force-producing capacity, the more you can apply during explosive actions like acceleration. Maddie is already an elite athlete with a powerful nervous system and strength work raises that ceiling even higher. Lifting heavy also creates structural adaptations. One of the biggest is increased tendon stiffness, meaning your tendons act like tighter springs. They don’t need to stretch as far to return the same elastic force, which helps create greater joint stiffness when you hit the ground. The result is a quicker rebound off the ground, helping you increase stride frequency without sacrificing stride length. For any athlete hitting high speeds, greater tendon stiffness improves how quickly your tendons recoil. That elastic rebound helps reduce ground contact time at high speeds, which usually looks effortless! Heavy lifting also increases muscle cross-sectional area which means more contractile tissue that produces more force. Think big glutes, hamstrings, quads for driving force into the ground during acceleration and at max velocity sprinting! DM me ‘STRONG’ if you want to translate your strength work into speed on the pitch! Follow @maeveliston_physio ✅

I clench my jaw a lot - stress, work and heavy lifting. Over time that loads the TMJ and upper neck which can cause headaches, tight traps and that “full” feeling around the ears. This adjustment isn’t cracking my ear - it’s restoring movement to the jaw & upper cervical joints and calming the surrounding muscles + nerves. Basically a nervous system reset so my body stops guarding. If you’re someone who lives in jaw tension like me…it helps a lot. IG gets way easier when you stop doing everything manually 👇 Sending people straight to an offer without a system behind it is why so many DMs just go nowhere. What actually works is guiding people through a simple flow that does the heavy lifting for you. Once I stopped overthinking it and let a system run in the background, everything felt way easier and way more intentional. You don’t need to build this from scratch or guess how it should work. 💡 Comment “MANY 101” & I’ll send you the exact prompts to set it up. #onlinebusiness #contentstrategy #leadgeneration #socialmediasystems #marketingstrategy

🔧⚙️ Bouncing a Tire Into Place — Physics Doing the Heavy Lifting What looks like a clever mechanic’s trick is actually a clean demonstration of classical physics at work. By lifting the heavy tire slightly and dropping it, the mechanic converts gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy. When the tire hits the ground, part of that energy is temporarily stored as elastic potential energy due to the rubber deforming. Because rubber is highly elastic, the tire doesn’t just stop — it rebounds. Each bounce returns a fraction of the stored energy upward. By repeating the motion with good timing, the mechanic exploits energy conservation, elasticity, and impulse to gradually raise the tire to the exact height of the wheel hub. This technique relies on: Gravitational potential → kinetic → elastic energy conversion Elastic rebound of rubber Momentum transfer during impact Human timing and precision to guide motion No machines. No brute force. Just physics reducing effort and increasing control. Energy isn’t wasted — it’s redirected. 📍 Concept: Energy Conservation · Elasticity · Impulse · Classical Mechanics #physics #mechanics #energyconversion #engineering #everydayphysics
