Delicious. “Not hungry?” Find something that you enjoy eating for the moments where you’d rather not. 🎒LEAVE some of the extras home. A book at camp is nice, and I’ve carried a few beers to camp before. Just know that the more weight you carry, the harder your trip is going to be. Choose your luxury items wisely to keep your trip fun and your back/body safe. 🧼 CLEAN your damn gear. I get it - “gear is meant to get dirty.” But at the end of your trip, clean/repair/check your gear to keep it in shape to last years, not just a few trips. 🤪 Just “winging it” is cute when you’re on a stroll through the neighborhood, but in the backcountry it can be straight up dangerous for you, and anyone who has to come rescue you.
