Okay this is how I make my Irish sea moss gel 🌿 I soak it overnight (12–24 hrs), rinse it really well, then blend it with 2 cups of water + ½ lemon 🍋 The lemon helps sooo much with that strong sea taste. I add 1 tsp–1 tbsp to my smoothies (and sometimes I just take it straight 😅). I usually do 4–5 days on, then I take a break, then repeat. PS: you can freeze it into ice cubes and it lasts months 🧊 Save this for later 💚 Sea moss is best known for being mineral-rich and for supporting: ✅ Thyroid support (due to iodine content) ✅ Gut health (gel-like texture can feel soothing) ✅ Immune support (many people use it seasonally) ✅ Skin hydration + glow ✅ Energy + mineral replenishment If someone has thyroid conditions, they should be mindful of iodine and talk to a professional. SAVE this one for the winter cold season! SHARE it with a friend, your partner, or your family group chat!   I swear by turmeric milk-aka haldi doodh or golden milk. This soothing drink has been part of Indian households for generations and has roots in Ayurvedic medicine, and it’s one of my favorite go-tos as a pediatrician and mom when the sniffles start.   I take it as soon as I feel under the weather. And if the cough and cold progresses, through the illness. It helps mainly as a natural anti-inflammatory and well cough and cold viruses cause a lot of inflammation in airways.   The best part? Kids over one can enjoy it too! I don’t measure when I make it-everything is to taste and memory. The only “must-haves” are turmeric + black pepper (they work together to unlock turmeric’s benefits). Everything else-ginger, cinnamon, cayenne-you can adjust or skip depending on what your family likes.   Why it helps: ✔️ Anti-inflammatory – calms irritated airways, lessening coughing fits ✔️ Antioxidant – protects immune cells while they fight infection ✔️ Mucolytic – helps thin mucus so phlegm clears more easily ✔️ Immune support – boosts activity of certain white blood cells ✔️ Soothing – warm haldi doodh naturally calms the throat and chest   Recipe (watch/save for details!): Heat milk of choice, add spices, sweeten with honey (for kids >1), and sip warm.   Safety notes: ❤️ Only for children over 1 (no honey for babies under 12 months) ❤️ Always source your turmeric from trusted brands or use fresh turmeric you grate ❤️ Golden milk is complementary-it doesn’t replace medical care ❤️ Pregnant or on any blood-thinning medications? Just a couple of thoughts to refine: Ingredients: 4-5 lemons, thinly sliced A thumb-sized piece of ginger, sliced 1 cup of raw honey (Manuka or local for added benefits) Layer the lemon and ginger slices in a clean jar. Pour honey over the top until everything is fully submerged. Seal the jar tightly and store it at room temperature away from direct sunlight for 3 days, stirring and pressing the lemons down periodically.
