99% of employers want people who can deal with pressure and hit the ground running But only a small percentage of us generally like pressure. So here’s what I’d do👇 I wouldn’t say “yes” or “no”. Instead I’d talk about how I deal with pressure 😁Example from me… “I’m not a huge fan of working under pressure but over my career I’ve found it to be inevitable so I’ve learned how to manage it. And with proper planning and better time management I’ve always been able perform at a high level regardless of what’s been thrown at me” Of course if you are someone who LOVES pressure You can say. “I have always been someone who thrives under pressure. I like to keep things interesting, so working under pressure forces me to think quickly and solve problems by collaborating with the team.” Again the focus should be more of an explanation than a short direct answer ______ Hi 👋 I’m Lucy a former recruiter and hiring turned career coach. I’m a recruiter and I interview for a living. Most people overthink interview prep, but if you only have 60 minutes, here is exactly how to spend them. ⏲️ (comment “jobs” and I’ll share the guide) Stop “studying” and start strategizing. You don’t need to memorize the company’s entire history; you need to prove you can do the job. ➡️ Here is my 60-Minute Emergency Prep Guide: 1️⃣ 0–15 Mins: The “Pain Point” Deep Dive Don’t just read the job description—dissect it. • Identify the top 3 skills they keep mentioning. • Ask yourself: “What problem is this company trying to solve by hiring for this role?” • Goal: Align your value with their specific “pain.” 2️⃣ 15–35 Mins: The “Rule of Three” Stories Forget 20 different scenarios. Pick 3 versatile stories (STAR method) that demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and technical skill. • Story 1: A time you saved the day. • Story 2: A time you handled a conflict or failure. • Story 3: A major project you’re proud of. • Pro Tip: These three stories can answer 90% of behavioral questions if you pivot them correctly. 3️⃣ 35–50 Mins: The “Vibe Check” Research Go to LinkedIn. Look up your interviewers. • Where did they work before? • Do you have mutual connections or interests? • Check the “Recent Posts” section of the company page. Mentioning a post from 48 hours ago makes you look incredibly dialed-in. 4️⃣ 50–60 Mins: The Reverse Interview The interview isn’t over until you ask questions. Prepare two that make you sound like a leader: 1. “What does ‘success’ look like for this role in the first 90 days?” 2. “How does the team handle [specific industry challenge]?” The Closer: Interviews aren’t about being perfect; they’re about being prepared. You’ve got this! Follow @nitsrecruits for no BS interview, resume, job search advice. Comment SUPERAGENT if you want access to this tool! Everyone keeps asking me which AI tool actually helps with interview prep, so I decided to test it myself. I tried ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and @airtable’s new product, Superagent. I used the same prompt for all three to research a company and role, predict interview questions, and help create strong answers. For me there’s 3 criteria that matters: 1) Response Depth - how well does it answer my question 2) Format - how well did it package the response and 3) Digestibility - how easy did it make it for me to understand the information. I ran each tool multiple times to see which one truly delivered. 💡ChatGPT was fast and gave questions and answers almost instantly, but the responses felt polished yet broad and not very specific to the company. 💡Gemini was similar. Helpful ideas, decent structure, but still surface level. Some examples were so vague they did not add much value. 💡Superagent worked differently. Instead of answering right away, multiple AI agents researched the company, the role, and common interview patterns. It then created a detailed report explaining why each question is asked and how to structure strong, role specific responses. When I look at the criteria on what matters to me, only one of these hit all 3 with flying colors. If you want to walk in knowing exactly what you are being evaluated on, Superagent stood out the most. What feature did you like the most?! #Superagentpartner #JobSearch #JobMarket #jwow #airtable

An interview isn’t just them assessing you. It’s you interviewing the company too. If you don’t ask questions, you’re walking in blind. Comment “Interview Prep” and I’ll DM you the “interview cheat sheet” Here are 10 smart questions to ask at the end of your interview- 1. What does a typical day or week look like in this role? 2. What are the immediate priorities in the first 3-6 months going to look like? 3. What skills or experiences matter most for someone to succeed in this role? (Pro tip: you can spin it - what could be the challenges) 4. What does success look like in the first year? ( gives you a glimpse of your KRA and management priorities) 5. How does this role collaborate with other teams? 6. Are there any skills or experiences that would make it imperative for a candidate to posses? 7. Do you have any concerns about my experience or fit that I can address? ( Bold question. Optional. But powerful. So be ready with your “reason to win” statement) It gives you a chance to clear doubts and reinforce why you’re the right fit. 8. What’s your favorite part about working here? 9. What are the company’s biggest goals this year, and how does this role support them? 10. Last and my fav- I can see you have worked for {insert years} years here, what made you choose this company? Remember: strong questions = confident candidate. How I got my job in the UK as a fresher — the daily routine that helped me Job hunting became much easier once I treated it like a structured daily routine instead of random applications. Here’s what a typical day looked like for me: Morning (Research + Applications) • Check LinkedIn, Indeed, and company career pages for new job postings • Shortlist roles that match my skills • Tailor my CV for each role • Apply to 5–10 relevant jobs and update my application tracker Midday (Networking) • Connect with recruiters, alumni, and professionals in my field on LinkedIn • Send short, polite messages asking for insights or advice • Engage with posts in my industry to stay visible Afternoon (Portfolio + Profile Building) • Work on portfolio projects, coursework, or case studies • Update my LinkedIn profile and highlights • Post or share insights related to marketing/industry learning Evening (Interview Prep + Skill Building) • Practice interview questions using the STAR method • Research companies I had applied to • Spend time improving skills through online courses or tutorials End of the day • Update my job application tracker • Reflect on responses, rejections, and follow-ups Doing this every day consistently helped me stay organised and motivated until the right opportunity came along. 🚨Resume Hacks that no one talks about These hacks/changes I’ve personally used in my resume, & have seen them work for several students especially in this job market: 1️⃣ Change your location to match your target role’s location Eg: If you’re applying for roles in San Francisco, mention the same location in your resume, even if you’re currently in another state. It signals commitment and helps you avoid being filtered out as a “non-local” candidate. 2️⃣ Use industry-standard job titles (in parentheses) If your company used a creative internal title like “Innovation Catalyst,” also mention the more common version of that title in braces: Innovation Catalyst (Project Manager), as long as 90% of responsibilities match! 3️⃣ Use the “Accomplished X by Y doing Z” formula Instead of “Managed backend services,” write: “Reduced API latency by 40% in 3 months by optimizing database queries and implementing Redis caching.” Outcome + measurable proof + method = instant credibility. 4️⃣ Spell out acronyms in both full + short form Write “Master of Business Administration (MBA)” or “Search Engine Optimization (SEO)” so you don’t get filtered depending on what keyword the recruiter searches. 5️⃣ Study 10–15 LinkedIn profiles of people in your target role Notice patterns: What action verbs do they use (Spearheaded? Optimized?) What tools show up repeatedly? How do they quantify impact? Don’t copy, but learn their language. 6️⃣ Add numbers to everything possible Instead of “Worked with cross-functional teams,” write “Collaborated with 12-person cross-functional team across 4 departments.” Numbers make your impact concrete and easier to remember. 📌These tips have helped a lot of students and hopefully they should help you too :) Comment “resume” to get my LaTeX template for FREE👇 [Software Engineer, Interview Prep, Job Search, Resume, Interview Callbacks, Resume Hacks, Women in Tech] #resume #resumehelp #softwareengineer #jobsearch #womenintech
