MYI've finally finished making the #mcqueenkimono
Making the jacket firstly at a much smaller scale help me understand a lot of the instructions. Although not everything transferred to the full sized kimono jacket, I definitely had a better grasp of the pattern and instructions and what I was trying to achieve.
This is very much a summer jacket, so I choose used this natural beige linen that didn't have a pattern. There is so many darts and fabric manipulation techniques, I didn't want it to clash and be to hectic of a design. I think I made the right choice as it allows the construction of the jacket to stand out and be the focal point.
