And so when Alberta’s premier talks about “separating” and taking the land with her, she’s not reclaiming anything, she’s doubling down on theft. Because let’s be real: She’s not just trying to walk away. She’s trying to take the good land, the water, and the resources, too, land that was never Alberta’s to begin with. This isn’t sovereignty. It’s settler greed rebranded. So no, I won’t be celebrating “Canada” today.
