Gym comments about your body can hit differently. A guy at the gym told me my legs were “massive.” And even though he meant it as a compliment…for a split second my brain went somewhere else. Because a lot of women grew up hearing: be smaller be thinner don’t get bulky don’t take up too much space. Then he followed it with: “You look really strong… how do I build quads like that?” And it reminded me of something important. I train legs every week. I lift heavy. I fuel my body to build muscle. So if my legs look developed…that’s not an accident. That’s the result of choosing strength over shrinking. Strong legs are built - not something to apologize for. 💪🏼

2 years ago I knew I have 2 mild herniated disc and a cyst mildly affecting my nerves 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was not able to Train at all , not able to perform a single body weight squat and sometimes not able even to laugh! I was told I may not be able to heavy again and that made me even think about changing my career 🚫 It took me many months to understand my body , its needs , how to make it recover and how to start gradually get back to train 💪 And yes I started with empty bar deadlift after I was doing 120 kg!😅 Today is the first time I share breaking my deadlift record finally with 135 kg ( double my weight 😎)🔥 If one thing I would advise people who like to lift to do is to be consistent !😈 Understand you body , love it , keep trying , don’t chase perfection but improvement only 🤩 #gymlife #liftheavy #fitnesslife #strongwomen #motivation
