Unlike wood, which chips when carved against the grain, linoleum has no grain, making cuts smooth and clean. It’s probably a question I get asked the most (beyond what inks, paper, rollers do you use?). I use traditional linoleum because it’s made of compressed sawdust and linseed oil. I actually hate the idea of working with any other kind as it’s usually plastic based and there is enough plastic rolling around in our environment for the foreseeable. When you cut this material, as it has a layer of hessian on its underside it can tend to fray. I use a lighter to burn off these stray bits, to prevent them from accidentally getting inked and then artefacting final pieces. I printed it on green cardstock using red speedball ink to give it a festive feel! This was such a fun and budget friendly way to make Christmas Cards for family and friends.

Du kan starte for omkring 100 kroner og så har du endda til at lave flere tryk. Det meste har jeg købt hos @sostrenegrene men det findes mange steder. Jeg er vild med at det går hurtigt fra ide til produkt, at det ikke behøver at være præcist for at blive flot og at børn også kan være med.
