POV: You have brain fog and trouble finding your words… then you put on this patch. 🫆✨ You know that feeling when you’re mid conversation and the word is right there but you just can’t grab it? After battling Lyme disease and Long Covid my cognitive function really suffered. The brain fog was relentless and the words wouldn’t come, thoughts wouldn’t connect. I felt like I had lost a part of myself. 🙈 Then I found Zen.🧘‍♀️ Now when I feel that mental fog creeping in — the scattered thoughts, the slow processing, the frustration of not being able to think clearly, I check my Zen patch first. Because every single time I feel off mentally, I realize my patch needs to be replaced. And the moment I put a fresh one on everything sharpens back up. I pair Zen with Liberty and Peace patches and honestly, it’s the most magical combination. I am finally starting to think clearly again and I never take that for granted. The Zen patch supports cognitive balance, clearer thinking, better decision making and sharper memory. No drugs. No supplements. Nothing entering my body. Just a patterned ridge surface like a QR code that activates the skin receptors and sends signals directly to the brain to re-synchronize the nervous system. My brain finally has daily support that requires zero effort! 🙌🏼 This patch is a non-negotiable for me. Every single day. 👇 Comment PATCH #brainfog #longcovid #mentalclarity #nervoussystemhealing #naturalwellness

When your doctors don’t talk to each other or even read their own notes: Year 1: GP - definitely don’t have POTS GI - this is prob dysautonomia Year 2: Neuro 1 (consult only) - you definitely have POTS, ask for these meds Neuro 2 - probably POTS, go see cardiology Cardio 1 - you’re just dehydrated, wear compression Year 3: Internal Med - it’s definitely POTS, let’s try these meds since compression & hydration didn’t work GI - dysautonomia can totally cause all of this, who is your doctor for that? Year 4: Neuro 2 - maybe we should do more testing, maybe meds would help? Cardio 2 - it’s definitely POTS, let’s try something new Neuro 2 - oh look it’s POTS. Just drink more water & wear compression I’m gonna crash out. Someone save me. #longcovid #pots #dysautonomia Alt text: video is Stephanie turns in her wheelchair toward the camera, holding a coffee cup. “What’s my villain origin story?” (Note from electronic medical chart slides on screen) I have reviewed your test and it shows POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardic syndrome). This is mostly treated with adequate hydration and compression stockings. The rest of the autonomic testing was normal.

Most people with mast cell issues have “normal” labs. And technically, they’re often so close to normal your doctor brushes them off. …But there are clues beyond the most reliable mast cell mediators (that usually come back normal). MCAS rarely shows up as one dramatic abnormality. It shows up in patterns. Values that live at the edges of normal. Alone, they don’t mean much. But combined with symptoms, they take on new meaning. I often see: • Slightly low white blood cells • Low-normal alkaline phosphatase • High-normal platelets • Elevated eosinophils • Low CO₂ trends • High or low B13 • Low zinc, folate, copper, or magnesium • Low-normal sodium and potassium • Slightly elevated LDL • And sometimes… completely perfect labs during a flare None of these diagnose MCAS on their own, and every single one can have other causes. But together? They tell a story. If you’ve been told “everything looks fine” but your body feels anything but fine, it may be worth looking at your labs differently. Normal does not always mean optimal. And it definitely does not always mean stable. Save this for reference the next time you get labs ❤️ #mastcellactivationsyndrome #mcas #longcovid #mastcellactivation #mastcell

One of the most frustrating things with Long Covid is having people (those you know & doctors even) doubting that the condition is real or even exists at all. It’s important to listen to patients - validate their symptoms, and start working towards finding effective treatments #longcovid

Scientists have finally discovered the biological cause of Long COVID brain fog. For years, millions said they couldn’t focus or think clearly after recovering from COVID — and no one could explain why. Now, researchers in Japan found that a key group of brain receptors called AMPA receptors — responsible for learning and memory — become overactive after infection, disrupting normal brain function. It’s the first hard proof that long COVID symptoms are real, measurable, and biological — not psychological. This breakthrough could finally lead to treatments that calm these overactive receptors… and help patients get their clarity back. Science is finally catching up to what long COVID survivors knew all along. Around 120 healthcare workers who have not returned to work due to Long Covid are set to lose their ordinary sick pay by June, leaving many reliant on illness benefit of €254 a week. The group, backed by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, had been on full pay under a pandemic-era “special leave with pay” scheme until it ended last December. They are due to meet the Taoiseach on Thursday to seek further support. They are now on the standard public service sick leave scheme — three months full pay followed by three months on half pay — which expires in June. Most have already been refused extensions on the grounds they do not meet the criteria for a “critical illness”. Surgical nurse Eilis McManus, who was 26 when she contracted Covid while working on a Covid ward in Dublin in 2020, said her life has been dramatically impacted. “We were looking after only Covid-positive patients. So, 13 hours a day I was surrounded by the virus,” she said. Now 32, she says ongoing symptoms including fatigue and heart complications mean even “a 15-minute walk would be enough”. 📲Link in bio for more #PrimeTime #covid #longcovid #ireland
