I’ll be honest when I looked at the box, I thought - “why did they send me this one!” I was not a fan and didn’t think it looked cool at all! I am usually never wrong but I was definitely wrong on this one. The build was incredible, the lights added an awesome effect. I actually told the art teacher she could keep this one in her room now I gotta follow through on my word. I think the layering technique of building up from the picture and adding clouds, hills, trees and the field is really awesome! I’ve said this before LEGO fired someone and #lumibricks hired them and is reaping all the benefits now. This set is incredible and one of my favorites I have built this year. Don’t believe me just try one set for yourself. . . Follow @super_lego_dad for all the Brick Fun!

Good: - set is a great display — between the lights & details - All printed pieces was SO NICE! I hate when I ruin a sticker so not even having to deal with that - Light Kit was super easy to install while you build - They used a mirror to reflect the train — never seen a Mirror in a set before but it was a super cool detail - Lots of bold vibrant colors - The set was designed around hiding the light kit wires so they aren’t very visible in the final set - VERY affordable for what you get — it is around 6 cents / piece which is honestly a bit deceiving... because Lumibricks utilized a ton of large parts (Think of how often when building a LEGO set you do a 1x4 plate + 1x1 plate or stack 1x2 bricks on top of each other — this set pretty much always combined pieces so it was very parts efficient Needs work: - While the minifigs were cute, putting the hands on was horrible for someone with fat fingers like me - I was not a fan of having LBG and Light Gray in the same bag — the light in my living room is more tungsten yellow which made it hard to tell the two colors apart... - I did have one piece that was the wrong color — they offered to replace it but it wasn’t very noticeable Weird: - Lots of plates with odd stud counts - The S.N.O.T. bricks had a weird shape — you can’t see any of them in the final build, but I chuckled a bit - In the LEGO modulars that I’ve built, they use a ton of the piece count for details within rooms (think coffee maker, clocks, tile patterns) — this set was definitely less focused on details in buildings and instead it was all about the display-ability of the set. I wouldn’t say this was good or bad, but more for preference. What do you think of the set? #lumibrickscyperpunk #review #lumibricks

The final reveal of the Lumibricks Aurora Cabin! I am absolutely in love with the design of this build, and the lighting experience was top notch. All of their custom channel pieces to feed the wires through the walls were brilliant and the subtle warmth of the fire and overhead lighting in this cabin gave a true winter cabin vibe that I was craving. I’m really warming up to the alt builds these days, and would definitely recommend trying out a couple of sets to see if you like them as well. Pricing is excellent and experience was really great. They feel fairly close to what you’re used to, and the instructions were arguably better. Go check out a couple of their models on the links provided and let me know if you end up getting one.
