A cruise ship may seem like the safest place on the water
Music, pools, dinners, thousands of people around…
But there is one scenario that turns everything into a nightmare:
🌊 MAN OVERBOARD: someone falls into the sea.
And here’s the truth: this is not a movie
👀 1) The most important thing is noticing the fall
If nobody sees the moment…
The chances of finding the person drop dramatically.
The ocean is огромный
And a human in the water is almost invisible
🚨 2) Emergency alert on the bridge
The command is announced immediately:
“MAN OVERBOARD!”
They record the exact time, location, and side of the fall
From that moment, the entire ship switches into rescue mode
🛟 3) Lifebuoys and markers are thrown into the water
Buoys with lights and smoke are used to:
• mark the fall location
• give the person something to hold onto

But here’s the problem:
A ship this size cannot stop instantly
The turn can take 10–20 minutes
And currents can carry the person farther away
