Desde joven, sus manos crearon maravillas, y su estilo peculiar —trajes llamativos con cuellos altos— lo hacía destacar aún más. Sin embargo, esa admiración desmedida infló su ego hasta el límite. Un día, una jaqueca feroz lo sumergió en fiebre y lo arrastró a un estado de coma. Su familia temía lo peor, pero los médicos lograron estabilizarlo. Al tercer día, recobró la conciencia y, con esperanza, tomó un cuaderno. Pero para su horror, su mano ya no dibujaba como antes. Lo que antes eran obras maestras, ahora no eran más que garabatos sin sentido. En un instante de desesperación, Rainiero cayó de rodillas, levantó la vista al cielo y exclamó: “¿Por qué a mí?”. Pasaron los días, y aunque no dejó de intentarlo, su antiguo talento parecía perdido. Una noche, observando los garabatos que dibujaba, decidió ver en esos rayones la semilla de algo nuevo. En lugar de lamentarse, los transformó en algo inesperado. Rainiero se convirtió en espectador de su propia evolución y, así, recobró el amor y la pasión por su arte. Comprendió entonces que el arte, como la vida, no siempre sigue un camino recto. A veces, lo más importante es seguir adelante, incluso cuando todo parece perdido, y hacerlo con humildad y gratitud por el viaje. “El arte es, sobre todo, un estado del alma.” —Marc Chagall.
