🤪🫠 moms… ya feel me?! Unfortunately we can’t run from our ‘sponserbileries as Tommy Pickles would say (IYKYK) but running is definitely a mental reset button for me at least! We have to take care of ourselves so we can care for our babies, fur babies, and spouses too! 😉 tag a mom below and remind her that she’s killin’ it - we all need the reminder sometimes!! ❤️ #momswhorun #homeworkoutsforwomen #fitnessformoms #lifestylefit #runnermotivation

Running has become one of my clearest mirrors on my Motherhood journey. Not because I’ve chased pace or distance but because it’s taught me how to move forward through discomfort, doubt, and change. In my early postpartum days, my body didn’t feel like my own. The pelvic pain was intense, and I could barely balance on one leg. I started with walking, built up to light jogging, and eventually found a rhythm that felt like mine. There were seasons I stopped running altogether, but over time, my body started longing for it again. Not to perform but to release, to reconnect and to remember that I still belonged to myself. At four months postpartum, I jog-walked a half marathon and then quit running altogether. I didn’t feel fast or consistent, and for a while, I didn’t even think I could call myself a runner. But my dear friend @allybparker once said to me, “THE MILE IS MAGIC” ✨and that shifted something in me. I stopped focusing on how far or how fast and started focusing on how I felt. I made space for one mile at a time. Not to prove anything, just to move, breathe and begin again. Now, at 21 months postpartum, I run three to four times a week. Not because I have to, but because it clears the fog. It strengthens my body and my spirit. It’s become less about performance and more about presence. Running has helped me redefine what strength looks and feels like in this season. It’s boosting my confidence and rebuilding the trust I have in my body. Now I know for sure that if I lace up, step out, and move with intention, I am a runner. I am an athlete. I am enough. If any part of this speaks to your story, I’d love to hear it. Love it, but….the walking…the getting up and down stairs…the lifting….iykyk!! Do you ever wonder why we love to do this to ourselves?!🤪😂 Where are my mother runners 🙋🏼‍♀️??

This gets my heart pumping hard BOSTON 2026 💙💛 What started as something to cross off my bucket list — my first marathon in Los Angeles — turned into one of the biggest passions of my life. I still remember training for that first race, pre-Kaia, finishing with a 3:31 and thinking, “Wow, I actually did it.” Then came New York. My first marathon as a mom. I thought my body wouldn’t be the same, that it would be harder to recover, harder to beat my time… but I ran 6 minutes faster and qualified for my dream race — the Boston Marathon. 🏃‍♀️✨ It’s crazy what dedication, love, and consistency can do. Every early run, every sore muscle, every “you got this” moment added up to this. So here we go again — the dream continues. Let the training begin!

Maybe you didn’t bounce back.  Maybe you’re not chasing a PR or BQ.  Maybe you’re just trying to get out the door without leaking, feeling like your organs are falling out, or wondering if your body will ever feel strong again. Same. I’ve been running since 7th grade. I’ve never BQ’d. I’ve dealt with prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, diastasis recti, a hip labral tear with surgery & one without, post C-section recovery (twice), and more days than I can count where running felt harder than it should.   (Now enter perimenopause...IYKYK) But I’m still here. Still lacing up. Still chasing that little pocket of peace, power, and endorphins that shows up somewhere between mile 1 and 3. Running doesn’t have to be fast. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It sure as hell doesn’t have to look like someone else’s. ✨ If you run, you’re a runner. Period.  ✨If you’re struggling to find your way back to running after baby, injury, prolapse, or perimenopause—I’ve been there, and I’ve helped hundreds of moms find their own comeback path. 📩 DM me if you're ready to run again without leaks, pressure, or pain. I’ve got you. 💬 What’s your raw running truth? Postpartum running isn’t about pace, it’s about presence. When I first got back to running, I could’ve focused on how much slower I was than before pregnancy. But with support from friends, I was able to welcome the gift of movement without judgment on myself, after months of barely leaving home. It’s still a challenge to train consistently, but every run is a reminder that I am privileged to be able to move—especially as I push in her stroller the very person I’m doing it all for. On #GlobalRunningDay, I see all the parents who pour into themselves so they can pour even more into their children. We’re not just changing our bodies—we’re changing their childhoods by being present with them in our parenthood. I see you, and I am with this movement every step of the way! #runningmom #momswhorun #toddlermom #thisispostpartum #postpartumrunning

• ROWING & PREGNANCY • Rowing is a great low impact exercise for pregnancy but modifications need to be made as a clients pregnancy progresses. In a typical pull phase of the row when we extend through our trunk, pressure increases through the core. During pregnancy & into postpartum we want to manage pressure through the abdominals. Pressure can move downwards to the pelvic floor, our increase through the midline. Maintaining intra abdominal pressure is something that can be easily achieved with many movements by playing with both the breath and technique 👍🏼 My top 3 tips for rowing during pregnancy are: 1️⃣Reduce the extension of the trunk as your 🤰 progresses, keeping more upright in the pull. 2️⃣Flare the knees to accommodate the growing belly & maintain a good range through the movement. 3️⃣Exhale on the exertion (pull phase). It may take a little longer to clock up the distance or cals, so if in a group setting working for TIME is a good option 👍🏼 There is just TWO live virtual Functional Fitness for Pregnancy & Postpartum™️ courses remaining for 2024! That’s right we did it!! My first post partum race! Thank you @philly_marathon! Making it to the start line for this one was not easy. Getting to the start line meant: Training after sleepless nights Timing my workouts around feeds, pumps, naps Battling mastitis, self doubt, and exhaustion BUT is also meant: Taking time for myself Taking care of my mind and body Accepting help Trusting myself Finding my love for sport again I’m so proud of the team of people around me that made this possible. I’ll be honest…the last few weeks have taken me out and it’s been a struggle to find my way back. Being a working mom thinking about all the things you’re missing in your child’s development *is not easy*. Being a stay at home mom and feeling like your identity is slipping away *is not easy*. Having experienced both…I’ve learned that you can have conflicting feelings simultaneously…and that too *is not easy*. I can love my career but also want nothing more than to be home cuddling my baby and know deep in my bones that’s where I should be. I can love being around my toddler because time is precious and I’m so thankful for this…but also feel grief for the career and life I had before. I know it’s a jogging stroller…and as someone who just ran a marathon this is not a totally surprising purchase. BUT 🙌🏽 this is the first step to taking back control…putting my mental health first…and most importantly teaching my son that it’s just as important as our physical health. More miles, more smiles.✨ • • Jogging stroller: @bobgearus Revolution Flex 3.0 • • #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #momswhorun #postpartumfitness #postpartumjourney #activemom #movementismedicine #running #bobgearjoggingstroller #bobgear
