Paving the way🛞 Our #NZArmy’s Queen Alexandra’s Mounted Rifles with their Light Armoured Vehicles have been in the Tairāwhiti Gisborne area over the past five days. Our soldiers have been checking road trafficability for military vehicles, which involves finding alternative routes and when necessary relaying that information to emergency response agencies and finding ways to get supplies to isolated communities by land. Bula vinaka to Fiji for having us 🇫🇯 Our personnel combined with our Fijian counterparts conducted disaster relief and humanitarian aid scenarios. #HMNZSCanterbury and crew transported #NZArmy units from ship to shore utilising the landing craft. #NZAirForce’s No. 3 Squadron not only honed their skills in disaster relief situations, but they also delivered nearly two tonnes of books and school supplies to the Yasawa group of Islands utilising NH90 helicopters. #Force4NZ #Fiji #MilitaryShip #MilitaryAviation
