The path starts with the historic Flint Castle, the first in Edward 1st iron ring, this is owned by @cadwcymruwales and free to look around - well worth it in my opinion! The walk then follows the River Dee as it opens up into the estuary, you pass lots of historic ports, all of which have information boards which give insight to this once bustling port part of the world as well as the iconic Duke of Lancaster ship! Once in the typical seaside town of Talacre there are lots of places to eat, drink or get a a snack including my favourites: Clwyd Bakery (HIGHLY recommend this Viennese whirl) or @up_a_yard_uk , let me know if you’ve done this walk before or save if you’re planning your own Wales Coast Path journey!

Striking cliffs and sea mist - moments from the Ceredigion coast. This was a trail of two halves: prior to New Quay, the path is unforgiving, skirting farmland or rising high into the cliffs with sudden drops to crashing waves. Black rocks, few beaches, and a fair share of mud. The little towns providing solace (this basically turned into a foodie tour of mid-Wales; I have zero complaints!) Then after New Quay, the wild, rugged path that I know and love emerges, reminiscent of Pembrokeshire - which is no surprise, as the border to Pembs is close.
