I actually didn’t until last year, even though I lived here the majority of my life and the place with the most pink forest carpets is just an hour from where I grew up!
In March (sometimes starting late February and lasting til mid April, depending on weather conditions) some forests in Austria turn into a pink wonderland due to erica blossoms. 💕
Yes, it’s literally all pink. And those videos were actually not even from the peak season last year but already a few weeks later! 😮
I usually don’t gatekeep places on here but as this is a very, very small town that’s not ready for masses of tourists, I won’t geotag the location here.
