One of the most intimidating parts of moving to a new city is learning which area matches your vibe and lifestyle.
You also might have pre-conceived notions about the city and its neighborhoods that then shift once you live here for awhile.
Whenever I meet with home buyers who are relocating to the Portland Oregon Area, and don’t know much about the city, I tell them to be open to both the West and East side of Portland (if they are looking to live in the city).
Then when said buyers do come to Portland I LOVE to give them a copy of my Portland Neighborhood Guide.
This guide is a labor of love, full of all my favorite restaurants, bars, shops, parks, etc in Portland and the surrounding cities organzied by neighborhood.
As a realtor and a foodie (hate this word tbh but its the right discreptor lol) I see soooo much of the Portland metro area through my work. In one day I can be in Gresham in the morning, SE Portland in the afternoon and in Hillsboro in the evening. So as someone who loves food I started to collect restaurant recs through friends, Instagram, etc. Because if I am going to be driving everywhere... Why not experience some good food too?!
As I collected this list over the years, I realized it could be such a great resource for my home buyers, especially those relocating.
