PCOS isn’t random, and it isn’t a personal failure. It’s a combination of how your ovaries function, how hormones signal, and how your body handles insulin. Once you understand what’s actually happening, PCOS starts to make a lot more sense 🤍 Save this for when you need a reminder that it’s biology — not willpower. #PCOS #PCOSAwareness #HormoneHealth #PCOSEducation #PCOSSupport

If you spend more than 10 minutes on social media with PCOS… you’ll eventually be told you can’t eat anything. No fruit because it has sugar 🍓🍌 No carbs because insulin 🍞🥔 No dairy. No gluten. 🥛🚫🌾 Definitely no iced coffee ☕️❄️🚫 At some point it stops being advice and starts being food fear. You know what truly makes a difference? eating in a way that provides your body and mind with balance.. 🩸 Stabilising blood sugar across the day 🍗 Building meals around adequate protein ⏰ Eating consistently instead of skipping 🥗 Reducing inflammation through food quality, not fear 🧠 Training in a way that supports your nervous system, not stresses it Fruit isn’t the problem. Carbs aren’t the problem. Chronic inconsistency, under-eating, stress, and reactive dieting are usually the problem. If you’ve ever felt confused about what you’re actually allowed to eat with PCOS, you’re not alone; a generation of women just like you feels the same way! And if you’re honest, is it the food that’s overwhelming… or trying to figure it out alone? #pcosdiet #pcossupport #pcosjourney

THIS is for anyone on a healing journey who might need a gentle reminder- it WILL get better. ❤️‍🩹 Looking back at old photos still triggers me greatly (I really find it hard to see myself like that 💔), but wowwwww look how far I have come in this 7-year journey with PCOS. 🥹 There were sooooo many times I wanted to throw in the towel, but something inside me kept pushing me to keep going. 🔥 It wasn’t easy (Infact it was fucking hard lol), but I can honestly say it’s changed my life for the better. I’ve regained my health, rebalanced my hormones, had two beautiful babies naturally, found joy in a slower life, and it was the catalyst to starting @pcostowellnessco 🥹❤️ So, even though it’s bloody tough to look at these photos, I hope they can inspire someone else to keep pushing forward. Where are you at in your journey? 🩵 Comment HEALING and I will send you the link to my PCOS to wellness holistic E-guide (+ a cheeky discount code 🫶)

Having PCOS can be bad enough, but feeling dismissed makes it even worse! This can happen to any PCOS patient, but I find it can happen even more if you are “lean”. Have you been told by your family, friends or even your doctor that your PCOS “can’t be that bad because you are lean”? Or maybe your doctor said “come back and see me when you want to get pregnant”. Unfortunately, this is because treatment of PCOS is often weight based. So if you aren’t overweight, you may be neglected or dismissed. But that’s so wrong! The symptoms of PCOS can occur with any weight. While it’s true that some of the metabolic issues (insulin resistance, heart disease risk and diabetes) can can occur less frequently in lean women, they still occur! You can still be insulin resistant regardless of your weight. You can also have inflammation and the symptoms of high androgens (hair, skin). And irregular periods/fertility issues. In addition, some studies show higher levels of anxiety in lean women with POCS.😳 👉Stay tuned for more posts on lean PCOS patients 👤Need help managing your PCOS?Contact me the links in my bio to learn about my PCOS coaching. 👇 Have you felt dismissed when it comes to your PCOS? Two of the most common SYMPTOMS of PCOS are hormonal fatigue & weight gain. I put SYMPTOMS in capitals because it is just that. Fatigue & weight gain are both very common symptoms of PCOS. And let’s get something straight, PCOS fatigue & hormonal weight gain are vastly different in those with PCOS compared to others. PCOS fatigue for example is constant, all-day exhaustion driven by your body not being in balance. These two symptoms are triggered by multiple systems within the body, most commonly a combination of; ⚠️ Insulin resistance ⚠️ Chronic inflammation ⚠️ Vitamin D deficiency ⚠️ Poor sleep quality ⚠️ Dysregulated appetite It’s important to highlight that as many with PCOS are called ‘lazy’ or ‘complainers’ due to their symptoms by people who don’t understand, or simply don’t care to even try to understand what living with PCOS is like. Some simple PCOS tips: ✅ Stick to regular sleep & wake times ✅ Have a high protein breakfast ✅ Aim for 100g+ protein daily ✅ Make inositol, vitamin D & magnesium daily essentials ✅ Combine walking with weight training throughout the week ✅ Limit your added sugar intake ✅ Green tea, cinnamon & flaxseeds are hacks!! ✅ Put your phone on sleep 60-90 minutes before bed #pcos #pcosweightloss #pcosawareness #pcosdiet #pcossupport #pcosjourney The information in this post is solely for general purposes only. Can you believe I have been vegan for 13 years?! 🐄🐖🐥 Over these years, I've had many well-meaning healthcare providers encourage me to eat animal products to manage PCOS. But my choice to be vegan is not solely about me. It follows my ethics of compassion for all beings and this planet. My daily choice to be vegan reflects my values of sustainability and social justice. When questioned if it's healthy, I would argue that living in alignment with our ethics is supportive of well-being. Health is deeper than nutrition. I created this account to inspire all of us to eat more plants. As a woman with PCOS, I believe it's important to show that it is possible to thrive on a plant-based diet. #pcos #pcod #pcossupport #pcosresearch #pcosawareness #veganeats #veganniversary #veganfortheanimals #veganpcos #veganfortheplanet

Just go on vacation and you’ll get pregnant.” Ah yes—because fertility clearly responds best to flight deals and palm trees. 👇🏻 here’s the advice you DO NEED I get why this advice is so frustrating. When you’re in a fertility journey, being told to “just relax” can feel dismissive, unrealistic, and honestly a bit cruel. Stress is often created by infertility—you don’t simply opt out of it. That said (and I know this isn’t the advice anyone wants to hear), stress does matter…because it has real biological effects. Chronic stress can influence hormones via the HPA axis, increase inflammation, disrupt blood sugar regulation, drain energy, and make it harder to do the very things that support fertility—like moving your body, cooking nourishing food, and sleeping well…. You know the drill. The problem isn’t that stress is irrelevant. The problem is that “go on vacation” is far too simplistic. Reducing stress doesn’t have to mean travel. It can look like: • better blood sugar stability • realistic movement (not overtraining) • nervous system support like humming in the shower • boundaries, rest, and support • addressing inflammation and hormone imbalance directly Stress matters—but it deserves real strategies, not throwaway advice. And yes, it’s still okay to roll your eyes when someone says “just relax. 💫 send this to someone trying to conceive and hit follow for more fertility support!

But how was your visit, girl? …. Real talk tho👇 I want to make myself clear: we have some truly incredible doctors out there. Since I started in this space almost 10 years ago, social media has demonstrated there are more and more classically trained healthcare providers out there who want to learn more about PCOS, actually understand it, and give better advice than “just cut out sugar.” I see it every day on this platform. More, please. And let’s not forget docs’ schedules are absolutely slammed with back to back patients in understaffed clinics, and don’t even get me started on the clusterf*ck that is insurance. Doctors became doctors (most of them…) because they wanted to help their patients. All that being said, the reality is women are still flooding my inbox with horror stories of recent appointments that went terribly wrong. Their doctor didn’t listen, gave them outdated totally backwards advice, blamed their weight for everything, or brushed off their concerns if they didn’t deem them “important enough.” I hope to change the narrative for THESE women. The ones who left their appointments feeling more scared, confused, and frustrated than when they walked in. I always say I aim to be the person I wish I had when I was newly diagnosed and so fearful, upset, and in need of support. Inside both of my upcoming memberships, Get Pregnant with PCOS and The PCOS Boss Academy, there are no doctor visits required to transform your health and body I will run your labs and help you break down exactly what they mean so you finally have a clear picture of what’s going wrong. Next, I’ll help you formulate a dietary, supplement, and simple movement plan to tackle your most pressing symptoms and health goals. We meet every other week. I keep you on target- no backslides. No BS. No waiting games. No fighting with your doctor or insurance. I’m here to help. My doors open February 18th. Let’s do this. #pcos #pcosweightloss #pcossupport #pcosdiet
