5 things to do during a panic attack: ❤️‍🩹Slow your breathing. Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 6. Longer exhales tell your brain you’re safe. ❤️‍🩹Use cold water. Splash your face or hold something cold. It resets your nervous system. ❤️‍🩹Ground yourself. Name 5 things you see, 4 you feel, 3 you hear. Come back to now. ❤️‍🩹Stop fighting it. Say: “This will pass. I am safe.” Panic peaks and then falls. ❤️‍🩹Move gently. Shake your hands or walk slowly. Release the trapped adrenaline. 💛🫂Share this with someone who is in need to know this. The difference between a panic attack and an anxiety attack 🤍 Both feel like you’re dying. Both make you think something’s seriously wrong. Both can feel invisible to everyone around 💥 A PANIC ATTACK hits like a truck. Out of nowhere. Heart pounding. Can’t breathe. Convinced you’re having a heart attack. Peaks in 10 minutes. Leaves you shattered. 🌊 AN ANXIETY ATTACK builds slowly. Chest tight. Mind racing. Can’t calm down. Lasts for hours or days. No sudden peak. Just constant dread I’ve experienced both hundreds of times 🫂 Here’s what nobody tells you: 💭 Your body isn’t broken. It’s stuck in survival mode. And there’s a way out 🕊️ If you’re dealing with either of these, you’re not alone 🤍 Comment “calm” and I’ll send you what actually helped me 👇 #panicattack #anxietyattack #anxiety #panicattacks #mentalhealth

Panic attacks don’t always look dramatic💔 Sometimes they look like someone sitting quietly… smiling… nodding… pretending they’re okay. But inside? Their heart is racing. Their chest feels tight. Their thoughts are spiraling. They’re scanning for exits. They’re fighting the urge to run. And the hardest part? Most people around them have no idea. A panic attack isn’t “overreacting.” It isn’t attention-seeking. It isn’t weakness. It’s your nervous system going into survival mode..even when you’re not in danger. If you’ve ever had one, you know how real it feels. A panic attack is not random. It’s your body going into emergency mode. Even if you’re sitting safely in your room. What’s happening inside your body: Your brain thinks you’re in danger → releases stress hormones → your heart starts racing, breathing becomes fast, body goes on high alert. That’s why it feels like: – “I can’t breathe” – “Something is wrong” – “I’m losing control” But it’s not danger. It’s an overactive stress response. Anxiety is the same system… just switched on for longer. So why is this happening more today? In real life, I see patterns like: – Long gaps between meals / too much sugar & caffeine → blood sugar goes up and crashes → your body feels unstable → triggers anxiety – Poor sleep + constant screen time → your brain doesn’t fully switch off → stays in alert mode – No real pause in the day → always doing, thinking, consuming → no signal of “safety” to the body – Holding everything in → stress, emotions, pressure → your body stores it instead of processing it Over time, your system becomes extra sensitive. So one small trigger = a big reaction (panic attack) Healing is not just “calm down.” It’s helping your body feel safe again: – Eating regularly, balanced meals – Reducing excess caffeine – Sleeping better – Getting sunlight, movement – Creating small pauses in your day – Talking, expressing, not bottling everything up And if needed, taking professional help. Your body is not weak. It’s overwhelmed. And once you support it properly, it can come back to balance [anxiety causes, panic attack symptoms, stress response body, nervous system regulation, cortisol and anxiety, blood sugar anxiety, caffeine and anxiety, sleep and mental health, anxiety triggers explained, panic attack help, overthinking and anxiety, gut brain connection, mental health awareness, stress management tips, anxiety relief techniques, nervous system healing, emotional stress symptoms, healthy habits for anxiety, holistic mental health, anxiety in young adults] #anxietyrelief #mentalhealthawareness #stressmanagement #nervoussystem #panicattack

Inside Out 2 teaches that growing up means feeling more not less. As new emotions enter Riley’s mind. The story shows that anxiety, embarrassment, envy, and even sadness are not enemies. They are part of becoming who you are. You don’t need to silence them, you need to understand them. It teaches that; Every emotion has a purpose. Even anxiety is trying to protect you. Growing up means feeling everything & accepting all parts of yourself. Your identity is built from both joy and struggle. Healing begins when you stop fighting your feelings. It’s okay if your mind feels crowded sometimes.Every emotion has a reason. 💫 . . . Anxiety, Happiness, joy, sadness, animation movie, motivation. . #insideout #anxiety #panicattack #relatable

Panic attacks feel like a loss of control, but what’s actually happening is your nervous system firing a false alarm. In that moment, logic rarely helps because the body is already in fight or flight. Somatic techniques work by sending safety signals back to the brain through breath, pressure, temperature, and orientation. Once the nervous system settles, the symptoms ease and the anxious thoughts lose their grip. You don’t need to “calm your mind” first. Calm the body, and the mind follows. Save this for later, and share it with someone who needs it. #panicattack #anxiety #mentalhealth #nervoussystem

From 16 years old until now, I’ve lived with anxiety… Not just “stress.” I mean the constant worry. The thoughts that don’t switch off. The feeling that something is wrong - even when everything looks fine. The chest tightness. The racing heart. The dizziness. The fear that this time it’s something serious. Panic attacks that make you think you’re losing control. Or worse. And the hardest part? Trying to explain it to someone who’s never felt it. Anxiety isn’t just in your head. It lives in your body. In your breathing. In your nervous system. Some days I feel strong. Some days it still feels loud. But I’m still here. Still rebuilding. Still choosing to move forward. If you’re battling anxiety, panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, or constant physical symptoms - you are not weak. You’re not broken. You’re not alone. We’re fighting through it together. And we will get through this ❤️‍🩹 #anxiety #anxietyhelp #panicattack #anxietyrecovery #healthanxiety

Since there are several potential risk factors and causes of having a panic attack, it is possible that a person may experience panic attacks at night. People who have nighttime panic attacks typically also have panic attacks during the day. When a panic attack occurs at night or while a person is sleeping, it may be difficult for them to calm down again. During a panic attack, a person may experience overwhelming emotions, including helplessness and fear. Physical symptoms can include a fast heartbeat, rapid breathing, sweating, and shaking. Panic attacks often happen in specific situations that trigger heightened stress. But some people experience them repeatedly, with no clear triggers. In this case, the person may have panic disorder.
