CU#Ad Lunar New Year glazed pork belly bao with my twist of adding @hellmannscanada rich and creamy Spicy Mayonnaise.
Full recipe
Red braised and glazed pork belly:
Braise pork belly for two hours with the following ingredients and enough water to cover.
* 5-7 tbsp light soy sauce
* 3-5 tbsp dark soy sauce
* 3-5 tbsp Shaoxing wine
* Few pieces of rock sugar
* Cinnamon, star anise, ginger
Cool, slice, and fry pork belly. Add in some braising liquid and reduce until a glaze consistency.
Bao:
Knead the following until smooth and rest for 20 minutes. Divide into 6 balls for 6 bao (60g each)
* 200g AP flour
* 130g milk
* 13g sugar
* 3g yeast
* 2g baking powder
* 1g salt
Roll out to half centimetre thick circle, brush one side with oil and fold over. Place on parchment paper to proof covered until puffy (30min-1hr depending on temperature). Steam for 10 minutes.
Pickled Vegetables:
Salt julienned carrot and daikon and rest until soft/bendable (1hr). Wash off salt, place in jar and add 1 part hot water, 1 part white vinegar, 0.5 part sugar to cover. Wait a day to enjoy.

Here is my favourite Cheesy Pav Slider Recipe which you will absolutely love:
Steps:
1) Mix diced onions, bell peppers, paneer, corn, and ketchup in a bowl.
2) Add 2 spoons of Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli, salt, and oregano.
3) Cut buns in half; spread Hellmann’s Chipotle Mayo on one side and Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli on the other.
4) Fill buns with the vegetable mixture, top with cheese, and brush with Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli.
5) Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Ingredients:
2 medium potatoes
2 cans chickpeas (strained)
1 small onion
1 small tomato
½ cucumber
2 tsp chaat masala
2 tsp chili powder
Salt to taste
Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli or Hellmann’s Vegan Mayo
Chaat papdi (crushed)
Tamarind chutney
Pomegranate seeds
Cilantro
Instructions:
1. Boil and strain the potatoes. Strain chickpeas.
2. Chop the veggies and add them into the pan.
3. Mix in chaat masala, chili powder, and salt.
4. Add a generous dollop of Hellmann’s Garlic Aioli for a creamy texture.
5. Top with crushed chaat papdi, tamarind chutney, and more Hellmann’s Garlic aioli.
6. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and cilantro.

This is one of the dishes that that I’ll be serving for Diwali in a few short weeks! 🪔
I make it using @hellmannscanada Vegan Mayonnaise which is the perfect creamy base for my spicy Hariyali spread that goes on the bread before being topped with tons of cheese, onions, and chilis 😍
I like using the vegan mayonnaise because many of my friends are vegetarian, and that way everyone can enjoy! 🤗
