Fat folks have less access in this world. All of these supportive actions are things we have to do for ourselves. For you to think of us, to call and ask about seating or weight limits or the size of life vests/robes, harnesses…that is really meaningful.

Let me share you a story how negative and hurtful comments make a content creator today.
Started with receiving harsh comments on my TikTok video, yang mana comment tu semua hurtful and banyak yang very disrespectful. Terlalu banyak negative comments and jujur I cakap, kalau El tak kuat, I would cry. Tapi, antara semua comments tu, ada je yang good ones. So, El decided to focus on the positive one je. I received comments yang suruh I show more ootd for orang badan besar. I’m glad I found these kind of comments last time. Dari situ, El decided to start sharing outfit yang El selalu pakai. Starting from sharing saja-saja outfit cantik-cantik el, to know getting recognise by other brands for collaborations.
My confidence got so so much better after being on Lemon8. Sumpah I cakap, the Lemon8 community is so so positive, encouraging and appreciate every efforts you made. It’s not even stressful here. Everyone here respect each other’s opinion! Of course it is so much better as compared to TikTok. I rasa I lagi berani post more things here than on TikTok.
Before I end, just letting you know if I were to focus on negative comments, and hide myself, I wouldn’t be in this position, doing content creating for plus size community. Ada mungkin, I akan hate myself for being fat. So, korang jangan risau kalau tak fit the beauty standard okay? You worth more than what people label you. Nice people still exist and they are a lot out there. You don’t have to worry, focus on good things, surround yourself with positive people, and you akan perasan that you will feel so so much better about yourself.
