LESomeone I really respected online posted the other day that one kid is basically zero kids.
Can we just stop saying that?
Because I’ll nod along while someone tells me how hard it is to raise their cat. And mean it sincerely.
Everyone has their own level of hard.
Everyone has a current capacity they’re trying to expand.
Whether it’s raising one kid or six.
Or potty training a dog.
Or sending kids to college.
Or managing t-ball + piano + dinner.
Or being an empty nester.
Or caretaking for your parents.
When we compare our hards, we stop creating community and belonging.
And I see the ripple effect everywhere… even in my own coaching rooms.
Women won’t raise their hand because they think their problem is “too small” or silly.
They think it doesn’t matter because someone else has it harder.
So they stop taking up space.
But if it’s taking up space in your brain or requires energy…
It matters.
I want a community that supports women (and my men!) at all different levels of hard.
You have nothing to prove.
Just support to gain. 💛

REStill working on night potty training right now at our house. We started when Milo was 3 and still making slow progress. Potty training is a whooooole years long process from the times I’ve tried it so far. The potty alarm helps when he will wear it. But he doesn’t always agree to it and I don’t want to force the issue. I have heard training boys is different than girls. Had a lot of questions when I said I was putting my 5 month old on the potty so thought I’d do a video, yes I know she isn’t fully trained but I thought I’d give it a go to help the transition easier when she’s able to understand more, this may not work for everyone but it seems to be going well for me 🙌🏻
