I recommend consuming half a gram to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. Another way to measure this is to aim for 30 to 40 grams of protein at each meal. Try adding in more protein and notice how much fuller you feel. If this sounds like you, read carefully. Here are 5 signs you may be eating too much protein: 1️⃣ You feel bloated or constipated When protein goes up and fiber goes down, digestion suffers. If your plate is mostly protein and very little sabzi or salad, your gut will struggle. ✅ Add at least 2 bowls of vegetables daily. Keep your meals balanced. 2️⃣ You are always thirsty Too much protein increases fluid loss. If your mouth feels dry or you crave water all day, check your intake. ✅ Drink enough water and do not exceed what your body actually needs. 3️⃣ Your breath smells different Very high protein with very low carbs can push your body into ketosis. That fruity or strong smell is a sign of imbalance. ✅ Add simple carbs like rice, roti, millets, or sweet potato. Balance matters. 4️⃣ Your weight is not moving or increasing Protein also has calories. If you are eating 5 to 6 eggs, whey shakes, and large portions daily, you may be eating more than you think.
