Videos like this are so misleading. This guy is an animal rights activist and psychiatrist with a biased agenda. Just because he eats this way doesn’t mean this diet is right for everyone. And, communicating information like this is potentially harmful as people can take it and cut out a number of nutrient dense foods from their diet. Over a period of time this can lead to delayed and / or poor growth and development in kids and teens, frustration because they don’t end up losing the weight they’re looking to lose, age related loss of muscle mass, poor bone health, lower energy, and more. While a vegan diet can be very healthy if well planned and including a variety of foods (and for athletes, they often need to add protein shakes, vitamin D, fish oil, a multivitamin, calcium, vitamin B12, and sometimes iron), it isn’t the right diet for everybody and it’s ignorant to suggest one particular approach that limits food variety and hasn’t been shown in research to be superior to other dietary approaches. @steven next time can you at least state that this guy is from a fringe group with an agenda? FOODS THAT HELP MY WEIGHT GAIN- PART 1 #gainwithmilly Let me start by saying, 🚫NO CERTAIN FOOD WILL MAKE YOU GAIN OR LOSE WEIGHT🚫 You can still gain weight even if you are eating nothing but whole foods. You can still gain weight if you eat a balance of whole foods and processed foods. You can still gain weight if you just eat processed foods (I wouldn’t advise this option though as the body needs nutrients). The same for losing weight. You can still lose weight if you eat only processed foods etc etc. It’s down to whether your average caloric intake across the week is in a surplus or a deficit. Weight gain = surplus Weight loss = deficit These foods help me get the calorie surplus I need, without that extra volume in my stomach! So these foods may help any of you who are having trouble getting cals in because you find yourself uncomfortably full a lot of the time🤰🏼 🥫SAUCES 🍞 WRAPS AND BREAD 🧈 OILS 🥣 OATS AND ALMOND FLOUR 🥛 GRANOLA AND PROTEIN SHAKES (also paired together!) 🥜 NUT BUTTERS AND SPREADS 🥑 AVOCADO These foods are just a few that I find help me! You can also incorporate any of these into smoothies to really rack up the cals easily! Don’t ever be fearful of food no matter what your goal is. Balancing your weekends! My weekdays will have convenient meals like protein shakes, rice with veggies, eggs and bone broth but on weekends I really loooove exploring cafes in Dubai and eating all sorts of different ingredients. From Acai bowls topped with chia maca and ashwagandha to protein smoothies topped with frozen berries and buckwheat. From kimchi rice to bacon on sourdough bread! The problem with this is.. I tend to eat TOO MUCH of the good stuff during the weekend and even though it’s clean and satisfying, by the end of The Weeknd I feel like I’ve over eaten and I tend to retain water. Best feeling for my taste buds but not so much for my body. So here are some weekend hacks I use to feel better: 1. I don’t skip my fat first cause this really keeps me full. 2. I’ll have a brunch with my favorite foods but no breakfast. This way I can enjoy a heavier meal with a bit of desert too. No restriction on carbs and fats here. I like feeling full so I’m ready for a nap 😂 3. I always take an afternoon nap for no more than 30-45 minutes. these really help in making me feel super fresh and revived! 4. I try and push in a workout on one of the days either post the nap or sometime in the morning before my brunch so I can work up an appetite for it. 5. I try my best to mainly eat proteins as my next meal. There will always be carbs since I’m doing only 2 big meals in the day.. but in the evening I try my best to stick to meat based proteins rather than Hummus or dals or cheese. I leave those for brunch. 6. I don’t skip my supplements and I also hydrate really well. Some days.. even more than the weekdays cause I’m a bit more mindful during weeknds. 7. If Im Hungry in the middle then I’ll eat some nuts or just some coconut water. But nothing more than that. Ps: not all weekends are so proper.. some are just full of cocktails and cake and those are great too! But I’m always trying to balance it out in this way! Hope this helps!
