RU“Are there more political quilts than normal this year?”
How is it even called political at this point? Humanity vs. destruction and depravity?
Heading into the show, I was very interested to know if there would be more political quilts than normal. Asking around with friends, this leads us to giggle, “Well, I guess we really haven’t seen pro-Trump quilts, who would make one?”🤣
But after chatting with more folks, we speculate that it’s not about letting more or less “politicized quilts” in each show — the purpose of @themqg is to HIGHLIGHT EXCELLENCE in modern quilting…
And the most excellent makers are so pissed off right now.
There is still time to change your mind. There is still time to be like, “hey, I’m normally republican and have been raised by republicans and go to church and blah blah, but man that Trump guy is mad whack!!!!” There is still time to snap out of it.

Everyone I spoke to over the weekend is over it. Your bigotry is not welcome. Standing on the side of truly atrocious humans is not the historical look you think it is.
And before some frequent, “man, this coming from the party of love and acceptance??” I’m sorry, sweaty, if you ever thought any of us accepted people who clapped for white old dudes that 🍇 children, you are sadly mistaken.
