Newcastle United fans shame on you!Last night I was trying to get in to visit my son @spike_curtis777 who is having to stay in the RVI Hospital after suffering an intestinal blockage.Firstly I couldn't go the quick route via the football ground to get to the hospital after work so I had to sit in traffic for 35minutes in what should've been a 10minute journey and then when I got to the hospital (where there was no queue last night during visiting hours!) I had to wait in a queue of 10-15 cars then watch loads of happy NUFC fans get out of their cars in the HOSPITAL car park (it's next to St James Park) whilst myself and another lady trying to get in to see her Mum before visiting time ended at 8 had to be faced with a 'CAR PARK FULL' notice on the machine with the barrier down.after I had been there for ages I had to beg the car park company to let me through so I could get to see Spike before visiting time ended.NUFC fans,you CANNOT think it is fair to block families from visiting their poorly relatives just so you can get a parking spot near the ground!SHAME ON YOU!There needs to be something put in place to stop this selfish behaviour?can't @nufc @allnewcastleunitedfans do anything to stop this?watching the fans in the strips get out their cars whilst I along with others were in distress being locked out was awful and this must happen to other families each and every match day?!I have seen banners up at the Hospital before asking fans not to park there which they clearly ignore.i missed the majority of the remaining visiting time due to this so what do the fans think of this?is it better that they get to see people kick a ball around or that I go to comfort my extremely poorly 20 year old Son?!#shameful #nufc #football #nufcfans #nufcdaily #change #rvi #hospital #blockage #intestinalhealth #soapbox #rant #nhs #intestinal #illness #playfair #unfair #thinkaboutit #thinkaboutit🤔

The patron of the charity is @joemcelderryofficial and it was so interesting to hear about the amazing work that supports the children and their families at the hospital. I actually stayed here for a few days when James had a head injury and the care that her received was wonderful.
