Trees record their lives in rings, each year quietly written into the wood. Some redwoods carry thousands of those rings, silent records of centuries passing.
This particular tree was cut down in the 1950s, but its story stretched back nearly 3,000 years.
If someone is fortunate enough to live a full life, it might only add up to a hand’s width of rings compared to the thousands this tree once held.
Even something ancient and mighty like a redwood eventually falls.
It’s a humbling reminder that our time here is short, but that doesn’t make it meaningless. In many ways, it makes it more meaningful.

EXA Remarkable Case of Reincarnation
In the small town of Redwood Hollow, England, a family tragically lost their two young daughters, Emily and Grace, in a 1956 car accident. To this day, the people of Redwood Hollow believe that the twins are the reincarnations of Emily and Grace.

Hill’s efforts helped protect not only Luna but also raised awareness about the importance of preserving redwood forests for future generations.
