COCollege rodeo isn’t for everyone.
It’s not for people who don’t believe in hard work or feeding your animals before you feed yourself.
It’s not for you if you don’t want to be a teammate.
If you refuse to run the chutes or feed steers after practice.
If you won’t help your coach doctor calves.
College rodeo isn’t the next step for every single athlete.
Some of you will end your careers in high school. Others might skip this step entirely.
If you want this sport to mean more, to be bigger than you, this is the place for you.
Because when you college rodeo, you no longer represent just yourself. You represent the vest you wear and the logo on your back.
You’re part of a team in a sport that wasn’t designed to be a team sport.
In football you expect it & volleyball it’s required.
This is the only time this sport is run like a team sport. The only time you will truly depend on the people around you.
This is where it becomes about more than just you.
There are a million perks & a billion other reasons why.
But if you want this to mean something more, to be part of something bigger, maybe this is for you.
Just not for everyone.
Good thing you’re not everyone.
