GIA three alarm fire gives a big scare to people in SF’s Marina neighborhood.
A fire was called in around 4:15 this morning, and it quickly grew to three alarms because the house involved was under construction.
Two firefighters were hurt and brought to the hospital but are stable.
Nearby homes were evacuated including one with an expecting couple. The man woke up to the smell of smoke and alerted his pregnant wife and neighbors to safety. (I’ll post his interview later)
He credits SFFD’s incredible response for their safety.
