Aesthetic practitioners understand this now. We all know the body’s internal environment affects how skin responds. Inflammation, oxidative stress, nervous system regulation, and the impact it all has on the skin - this isn’t new information anymore. But has it actually changed how you work with your clients? Because once you know this, it’s very hard to justify continuing to treat skin in isolation. And building it into how you treat your clients, leads to very different outcomes for both you and them. If you’re still treating skin in isolation, you’ll stay in a model where your clients come to you for treatments as opposed to a complete care plan for their skin. Their treatment results will reflect only what you can achieve externally. Your clients will dip in and out depending on when they feel they need something. Your income will stay tied to the time you spend in your treatment room. If you’re treating internally AND externally however, all of this looks very different. Your clients are no longer just booking treatments with you, they’re moving through a strategic care plan which maximises their skin outcomes and your income. Their results exceed previous because you’re supporting and improving the environment their skin is responding in, not just treating their skin externally. And your income stops being dependent on how many hours you can physically treat because they are under your care for all of it, and have stopped spending in multiple different places instead. Same aesthetic practitioner. Same professional treatments. Very different pathways and outcomes, for both you and your clients. If you’re at the point where you recognise that skin can no longer be treated in isolation but you’re unsure of what to do next - comment NEXT and I’ll show you what to do.

Between their treatments, your clients are still making decisions about their skin. Someone is influencing those decisions. If it isn’t you, who is it? In the time between seeing you, they’re asking their group chat which SPF to use. They’re buying a supplement an influencer recommended. They’re doing their own version of ‘eating well’ with no understanding of how that protein bar is affecting their skin. None of those people know what you know about that client. The client doesn’t even know what you know about her skin! And yet she’s not taking any of that advice or those extras, from you. Your expertise is stopping at the door of your clinic, and everything that happens to that client between appointments belongs to someone else. The practitioners who are starting to pull ahead aren’t necessarily better in the treatment room. They’ve just built an ecosystem that keeps their clients locked in to them before, during and after the treatment finishes. Having a clients ecosystem is what makes you genuinely irreplaceable. It also means your clients have better outcomes and transformations because you are treating their skin as part of a whole - and for you it means you need less clients and less treatment hours, to earn the same money. Practitioners who continue to treat skin in isolation will become dispensable because if you are not managing your clients entire aesthetic pathway, it means there’s space for someone else to. If you want to build a client ecosystem comment HELP below.

A while ago, someone mentioned that another clinic had a treatment menu that looked… very familiar. The structure felt the same. The wording was similar. Even the way the treatments were grouped looked almost identical. And if I’m honest, my first reaction was frustration. Because when you build a clinic like Skin Spa Embassy, the treatments you offer and the way you present them aren’t random. They come from years of working with real skin. Thousands of consultations. Trial, refinement, learning what actually creates change - not just what sounds good on a menu. A treatment menu isn’t just a list of services. It’s the result of years of understanding skin ageing, barrier damage, pigmentation, sensitivity, lifestyle, and how different treatments work together to create real results. For a moment I thought about calling it out. But then I realised something important. Someone can copy your menu. They can copy your treatment names. They can even copy your descriptions. But they can’t copy your experience. They can’t copy the way you analyse someone’s skin in a consultation. They can’t copy the decisions you make when creating a treatment plan. And they can’t copy the way treatments are adapted for the person in front of you. Because the real value of a skin clinic isn’t the treatment list. It’s the knowledge behind it. At Skin Spa Embassy, everything we do is built around understanding skin first - then choosing the right treatments to support it. Sometimes that means advanced facials. Sometimes it means mesotherapy skin boosters. Sometimes it means combining treatments over time to support long-term skin health. Because good skin doesn’t come from copying what everyone else is doing. It comes from doing what’s right for the person sitting in the treatment chair. And that belief is exactly how Skin Spa Embassy has been built - focusing on honest advice, personalised treatment plans, and treatments that support skin in a real, sustainable way. Two things clients have said to me that almost made me quit. Honestly, when I was first building my skin business, I cared so much. I wanted every client to be happy and to feel looked after. At that stage, I was still finding my feet as a skin professional and learning how to run a skin clinic, not just how to do treatments. There were a couple of comments that really stuck with me. Not dramatic, not nasty, just enough to knock my confidence. One client questioned my pricing in a way that made me feel really uncomfortable. Another compared me to another clinic and asked why I wasn’t offering the same treatment for less. At the time, I went home replaying it all in my head. I started doubting my prices, my experience, and whether I was actually cut out to grow a skin business long term. What I understand now is that nothing had gone wrong with my skills. What was missing were solid foundations. Clear pricing, clear boundaries, and the nervous system capacity to hold those conversations calmly as a clinic owner. As I grew, I worked on strategy and mindset together. I learned my numbers properly. I regulated my nervous system. And I showed up with more certainty and calm leadership. And interestingly, once I changed how I showed up, those comments stopped coming up. Clients respond to clarity and confidence far more than explanation. This is exactly the work I now do as a skin business coach. I love that I can help other skin professionals and clinic owners build profitable, sustainable businesses that feel good to run. Businesses where confidence is embodied and growth feels supportive, not stressful. Save this if a client comment has ever shaken you more than you expected. Follow me if you want to grow your skin business with calm strategy, strong foundations, and nervous-system-led support from someone who has genuinely walked the path. #skintherapist #estheticiantips #skinprofessional #beautyprofessional #womeninbusiness

There are things I can do now as a home based skin therapist that I simply couldn’t do when I ran a busy high street salon 🤍 When you have multiple staff, long opening hours and back to back appointments, your focus has to be on systems. Now? My focus is entirely on people. ✨ I work selective hours I don’t work set salon hours. I build my diary around my children and my family life. That flexibility allows me to show up fully present for my clients because I’m not burnt out trying to “do it all”. ✨ One client at a time There’s no busy waiting area. No noise from other treatments. The music, the scent, the lighting… it’s chosen for you. I don’t have to please lots of people at once. I create an environment tailored to the individual in the room. ✨ Personalised touches If I know you’re collecting products, I’ll often personalise your bag or gift with your name on it. Those little details matter. They make you feel seen, not processed. ✨ Real check ins I see a maximum of four clients per day. That means I can genuinely check in with you after your treatment. A text. A voice note. A proper follow up. Not a rushed automated message between appointments. ✨ I specialise I don’t fill “white space” in my diary with services I don’t love. I don’t offer treatments just because they’re popular. I specialise in skin. That’s it. That’s my lane. And that’s where I can give you expert level care. A big salon has its perks. But a home based clinic allows for depth, intention and connection. And for me, that’s everything 🤍 #homeskinclinic #specialistskincare #skintherapistlife #personalisedcare #fifeskincare

Most therapists are still opening their consult with the wrong question. If you’re still asking,
“What’s your number one skin concern?” Your consult needs an upgrade. That question is overused. Clients have heard it everywhere. And when something feels scripted and predictable,
the brain reads it as: “I’m about to be sold to.” The nervous system shifts. Connection → protection. It’s subtle. Shorter answers.
 Surface-level responses.
Less emotion. And once protection mode kicks in,
you’re working against biology. When the nervous system tightens, resistance rises. Not because your consultation isn’t good. But because safety wasn’t established first. The energy becomes clinical instead of connective. Logical instead of emotional. And if emotion drives decisions and logic justifies them…
you’ve skipped the most important layer. State is sales. If you understand how humans actually make decisions emotion drives, logic justifies
You lead the nervous system first. You don’t avoid pain points!!! You create safety so they reveal them. Less talking.
More listening. And listening for emotion not just symptoms. Instead of leading with: “What’s your number one skin concern?” Try: “I’m curious… what made you decide to book your skin discovery session today?” This question: • Activates the memory anchore, why they booked.
 • Gives you their language
 • Keeps their nervous system open Then: “Have you ever had a professional skin consultation before?” Simple.
 Clean.
Non-threatening. Now you’re not extracting information. You’re guiding awareness. You’re allowing them to articulate:
 Why it matters.
 How it’s affecting them emotionally.
What happens if it doesn’t change. That’s behavioural psychology. When a client feels safe, they expand. When they expand, they trust. When they trust, they invest. Every time. You can keep using industry scripts. Or you can understand the psychology behind buying decisions
and lead differently. Upgrade your opening question. Because the first minute of your consultation
determines whether you’re lowering resistance
or creating it. Save this.

Most beauty therapists struggle to raise their prices… not because they’re bad at what they do. But because they’re missing these 3 things: 1. They haven’t niched down. If you treat everyone and everything, clients see you as average. Specialists can charge more. 2. They compare their prices to the salons around them. This is the fastest way to stay underpaid. Your pricing should reflect your knowledge, results, and experience, not what the salon down the road charges. 3. They don’t feel confident in their knowledge. When you truly understand skin, ingredients, acne and consultations — your confidence changes everything. Clients trust you more and premium pricing becomes natural. Confidence isn’t just mindset… It comes from knowledge and understanding skin properly. If you want the consultation framework I teach my students, comment CONFIDENT and I’ll send it to you. ✨ #facialists #skintherapist #beautyclinic

If your clinic/salon feels chaotic right now… this might help. There was a point in my business where everything felt messy and overwhelming. Clients messaging on Instagram, WhatsApp and email. Trying to post on social media but never knowing what to say. Working back-to-back in clinic all day… then going home and doing admin late at night. From the outside it probably looked like things were going well because we were busy. But behind the scenes it honestly felt chaotic. What I realised though was… The problem wasn’t that I needed more clients or to work harder. The problem was I didn’t have simple systems. No strategy behind my marketing. And no systems to make things feel calm and repeatable. Once I fixed those things everything changed. The clinic became calmer. Clients started rebooking properly. Marketing felt easier. And the business actually started to grow without me feeling constantly overwhelmed. Most skin professionals think they need more clients. But what they usually need is better systems and clearer strategy. That’s exactly what I help skin pros build inside my coaching. If your clinic feels chaotic right now, you’re not doing anything wrong - you probably just need the right structure. DM me “COACHING” and I’ll send you the details. #facialist #skintherapist #beautytherapist #skinprofessional
